The exciting knowledge of vintage jewelry can generally unfold it's history in any piece that can be near 20 years old. Typically, it ranges from pieces that are just shy of 100 years old to pieces from the 1990s.

Also, the history of vintage jewelry can be traced back to ancient civilizations such as Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Jewelry was worn not only for adornment but also as a symbol of wealth and status. In ancient Egypt, for example, jewelry was often buried with the dead as a way to ensure their wealth and status in the afterlife.

We can definitely relate in this generation how the status of jewelry is worn on clothing. Also, we have adapted other ways to wear jewelry, on our teeth, hair, even shoes, and our facial skin by piercings.

Other Eras:

During the Renaissance period, jewelry became more intricate and detailed, with a focus on gemstones and precious metals.

In the Art Nouveau period, which lasted from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, was characterized by designs inspired by nature. The art decoration period, which followed in the 1920s and 1930s, was also characterized by geometric shapes and bold colors. Retro jewelry, which was popular in the 1940s,1950s, was heavily influenced by hollywood glamour. One of the reasons vintage jewelry is so popular is that it never goes out of style. Vintage jewelry is timeless, and its unique designs and high-quality craftsmanship make it highly desirable.

Jewlery is definitely carried on throughout the generation as keeping those vintage qualities admired.

As fashion states it's elegance is definitely in it's own tastes. Not every vintage jewelry is valued the same kind of craftsmanship. Sometimes it was just to bold, and bright. To others it's not enough color and style. Opinions from another admirer in vintage jewelry is differently not simple.

So, tell me, what era do you think your vintage jewelry interests starts? And also style?. Where does your eye  focuses you in of that particular piece instantly?
